This wash is the result of about a year of research, testing, and formulation.  While our original New-Face Powder Wash™ continues to be our most beloved wash among customers with a wide variety of skin types, there was a growing need for an additional option specifically designed for those with sensitive or delicate skin, including skin that has become thinner or drier with age.

 

Why a powder? Ingredients truly DO matter at The Butter Bath Company®. The moment water is added to a formulation, a preservative system becomes necessary to help keep the product safe and stable. We do not use preservatives, artificial fragrances, synthetic surfactants, or other synthetic ingredients. Since you'll already be using water to wash your face, we are able to give you highly concentrated, ingredient-focused skincare that delivers a luxurious experience and meaningful benefits. As the powder is massaged onto damp skin, it transforms into a uniquely plush, creamy cleansing experience. 

 

Every ingredient was chosen with purpose. Oats, buttermilk, and goat milk help create the rich, comforting feel that makes this cleanser so unique. Baobab and sea buckthorn are prized for their naturally occurring antioxidants, while pumpkin contributes additional skin-loving nutrients. Together, these ingredients create a cleansing experience designed not only to leave skin feeling clean, but also soft, comfortable, radiant, and cared for.

 

Unlike many traditional cleansers, this wash does not bubble. That is intentional. As we like to say, "bubbles are bad." The more a product bubbles, the more likely it contains surfactants that we intentionally chose to avoid. Active Comfort Face Wash™ focuses on comfort, leaving skin feeling refreshed and nourished rather than tight or over-cleansed.

With regular use, we believe this thoughtfully crafted formula can help promote a brighter, more even-looking complexion while helping soften the visible appearance of fine lines. Directions: Splash face with water. Shake ~1/4 - 1/2 tsp of powder onto wet hands and gently massage onto face for approximately 20 - 60 seconds. For extra creaminess, continue to wet fingertips in water while applying. This will NOT bubble. Rinse thoroughly & pat dry. For optimal results, immediately moisturize with our Active Comfort Face Serum. Some users may experience a brief, mild tingling sensation during initial use. This typically diminishes with continued use.

Cautions: May stain light-colored fabrics. For external use only. Avoid getting into eyes. Discontinue if irritation occurs.  Avoid product contamination. Keep out of reach of children. Store closed in a dry area. Best used within one year of opening.
